One of the things to consider is what size of camera you are going to want based on what/where you foresee the majority of your photography being done. If you are looking for something that can slip into your pocket, then you probably would not want a
DSLR camera
as they tend to be bulkier, you would be better suited with a
compact camera if that were the case. If you are going to be doing a lot of travelling by foot with your camera then you may opt for a lighter model of camera. It all really depends on what you foresee and what you feel necessary.
